Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a dedicated Accountant to join their team in North Carolina. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in accounting, particularly within non-profit organizations. The successful candidate will manage various financial tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Conduct reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Assist with month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Provide support for financial audits and assist in preparing audit documentation.
  • Analyze financial data and report discrepancies to management.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall financial objectives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting.
  • Experience with non-profit organizations is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Proficient in reconciliations and financial reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial information.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required Work Hours

Monday through Friday, first shift.
